  • Maintenance: Require regular cleaning to maintain performance and prevent fire risk/grease buildups.
  • Residual capture: After primary grease baffle, additional carbon or fine filter may be used in advanced systems (see ecology unit).
  • Installation: Positioned at hood inlet; ensure correct orientation of blades (typically vertical baffles to allow grease drainage).
  • Drainage: Filter frame leads grease into collection pan; ensure hood tray drain aligns under filter area.
