Mounting: Handles or tabs provided for easy removal for cleaning; dishwasher or degreaser suitable.
Fire rating: UL1046 classification (in some markets) ensures flame resistance.
Dimensions: Standard sizes (e.g., 395×395×48 mm or 495×495×48 mm) or custom to fit hood.
Maintenance: Require regular cleaning to maintain performance and prevent fire risk/grease buildups.
Residual capture: After primary grease baffle, additional carbon or fine filter may be used in advanced systems (see ecology unit).
Installation: Positioned at hood inlet; ensure correct orientation of blades (typically vertical baffles to allow grease drainage).
Drainage: Filter frame leads grease into collection pan; ensure hood tray drain aligns under filter area.
